Is she finally coming to Destiny 2 or is Bungie playing us Guardians again? Dataminers have found some interesting hints in the game data related to Triumph Moments for upcoming content. Among them, there are also data suggesting a possible return of the beloved rocket launcher Gjallarhorn.
What was found? In the game data related to the Triumph Moments, dataminers have recently investigated upcoming content. Many data are already on the servers and can be accessed by external websites like Destinysets.
For instance, there are hints of a Solar Week, which is supposed to work similarly to the Arkus Week that took place in April in Destiny 2 – including a revamp of many Solar classes.
Additionally, two lines were found, placed in the code without further explanations:
- Scattered pieces of a larger whole
- Components of the rocket launcher
Players on the Destiny subreddit are excited, believing these are hints at a return of the Gjallarhorn.

Why do players think of Gjallarhorn? In Year 3 of Destiny 1, the famous exotic rocket launcher returned overhauled in the game. In a quest, players had to find scattered pieces of the weapon and forge them anew.
When mentioning the “larger whole,” many players first think of the exotic rocket launcher. The Gjallarhorn was an absolutely overpowering weapon in Year 1 of Destiny 1, the best choice for every occasion. It was also very rare, and Guardians would pilgrimage weekly to Xur, hoping he had the weapon with him. This led to a true cult surrounding the weapon, which has its own “holiday” in the community.
Players now hope that the weapon could actually come to the game. However, some are also skeptical, as Bungie has previously misled Guardians about the promise of the Gjallarhorn over the past few months.

How did Bungie play the players? In March, data were found that sparked hope for the return of perhaps the most famous rocket launcher in the Destiny universe. Even an icon was found that looked very much like Gjallarhorn.
With the weekly reset on March 12, it turned out that the found item was a fake item belonging to the Vagabond’s loyalty quest. During the quest, players must buy meat from Spider in the Tangled Shore and discover a wealth of interesting goods in his black market offer that cannot be purchased. Among them is also the “Midnight Special,” a “convincing (but non-functional) copy of a famous weapon.
