In Destiny 2, resourceful players have found the boss Nokris outside of his strike. With a bit of skill, you can even visit him yourself, but what is the banished son of the archvillain Oryx doing so far off the beaten path?
Who has been found on the wayside? Players have discovered an old acquaintance during their ventures through the new content of Season 11: Nokris.
The Schargott was slain by us and otherwise presents himself to players as a strike boss. In this article, we will show you where the villain is currently located and why this discovery holds great hopes.
This is where the boss was found: Throughout the entire season of arrival, we accompany Eris Morn and dive deeper into the story of darkness. For this, we may attempt the ongoing story mission “Interference” each week.
Resourceful players have managed to glitch into previously inaccessible areas of the missions. There is a larger area, the courtyard of Savathûn, and in the distance Nokris lurks:
The video shows that Nokris does not become a quiet extra, but instead a boss fight with mechanics awaits the guardians. He bombards his discoverer from a distance with fireballs and becomes immune after a while.
Nokris is accompanied by a knight, who drops a relic. The item can even be retrieved already, but what exactly has to be done with it is not known. In his original strike, similar relics must be used to throw crystals.
Nokris might finally play the role he deserves
Who is Nokris anyway? Sure, Nokris is a really sinister-looking Hive lord, but is he really that important? After all, he was casually taken out in a story mission and is beaten in seconds in his strike.
It becomes particularly interesting when looking at Nokris’s family tree:
- He is the son of Oryx – the arguably most iconic Destiny villain, namely the King of the Taken himself.
- Nokris was disowned by Oryx as he was weaker than his brother Crota – how strong raid boss Crota really is, is questionable. After all, he has been beaten to death with bongos.
- Nokris turned to necromancy instead of sword logic
- The aunt of the necromancer is Savathûn – The Witch Queen will be the new main enemy in the coming years.
Precisely this is causing story lovers stomachaches for a while now. Nokris is actually a very interesting villain and so far has been given much less time than he deserves – which hopefully will change soon.
The well-known Destiny lore expert My Name is Byf recently dedicated a video to Nokris (via YouTube). There he discusses that the Hive god is the one responsible for the namesake interferences in the weekly missions. Savathûn is said to be working with Nokris to advance her campaign. We will then feel the finale of this in the fall of 2021.
We can be excited to see what role Nokris will still play and when we will finally face the hidden boss (legitimately).
It will also likely be just as exciting with Savathûn. For the scheming witch is probably watching us with 50 eyes: Destiny 2: Mysterious spheres leave guardians puzzled – What is it all about?
