In Helldivers 2, players have shared the first videos of new enemies. These involve flying bugs. However, the CEO of the game wants to hear nothing of it and contradicts the community.
What kind of flying bugs are these? Recently, a user on Reddit shared an attack from flying bugs on him. The special thing about it: Flying bugs don’t actually exist in the game yet. The bugs seem to be a new type of enemy designed to make life difficult for players.
Similar to before the release of the mechs, the enemies seem to already exist completed in the game. Players with cheats, developers, or just by coincidence, could encounter the enemies in your rounds. Faced with the ”rumors” of the flying bugs, the CEO of the development company Arrowhead has now also commented.
Here you can see the new war bond “On a Knife’s Edge” in a trailer.
The Ministry of Truth denies the rumors
What does the CEO say? The CEO of Arrowhead, Johan Pilestedt, denies the “rumors” about the flying bugs. In true role-playing fashion, he responds to the rumors:
I have heard rumors of flying bugs in @helldivers2. I want to officially dismiss such ridiculous claims.
Everyone knows that “bugs cannot fly”.
And I’m not alone in this opinion. The Ministry of Truth agrees that this is propaganda from bug sympathizers who want to brainwash good people. #Lies

Following this, he is confronted under his comment with further evidence of the existence of the flying bugs. Even here, he refuses to confirm the “rumors”.
What is true now? The flying bugs may soon appear in the game. Currently, the general order that aims to drive the bugs off the planets forever is underway by vaccinating the planet against them. The community speculates that this could go wrong in the story, thereby bringing the new flying bugs into the game. However, it is unclear if this is true.
The video with the bugs looks really credible. After the playable mechs that had plagued players’ rounds days before the release, one can assume that the flying bugs will find their way into the game sooner or later.
Here you can once again see the “evidence video”:
Another piece of evidence for the existence of the bugs is the game’s title image itself. Upon closer inspection, one can see some flying bugs on the right side. It seems that the “Ministry of Truth” does not have current information here.
Just recently, players complained about a bad change in the game. The stealth mechanic was supposed to no longer work, and the flying bugs are not exactly the answer the community was expecting.
