To get all the attachments for your weapons in Battlefield 2042, you need to level them up by using them and collecting kills. This is quite easy against bots – and particularly effective at a certain point, as players have discovered.
What kind of spot is this? The reddit user FrontAfter973 found a spot on the map Kaleidoscope where weapons can be easily leveled up. Leveling up is so easy that he could even “eat a sandwich” while doing it. You just need to follow a few steps:
- play in solo/co-op mode against easy bots (“beginners”)
- select the “Breakthrough” mode
- choose the map Kaleidoscope – you will see in the bottom left which of the 7 maps is starting shortly
- use Angel as your specialist and play the weapon you want to level up
The spot itself is near the spawn at point B and there, at the next elevator. Go to the top and turn left. You will find large pipes behind which you can hide and continuously farm bots.
The best way to do this is with automatic weapons with a large magazine. Since the major update #2, the weapon spread has been fixed and they hit more reliably again. This is what the farming looks like in the video:
It is important, however, that you play Angel. This way you can continuously refill your ammunition, and you will never run out. This is thanks to Angel’s special ability. You can find out more about it in our guide to all specialists in Battlefield 2042.
Can I unlock all attachments this way? Yes. You need around 400 kills with most weapons to unlock all attachments. You can even unlock them in a single round in this mode, as the player explains.
With the attachments, you can then customize the weapons in the plus menu, if you have selected the attachments beforehand. How this works exactly, we will reveal in the guide:
Leveling weapons with a catch
How far can I level up the weapons? Even though you can unlock all attachments, the usefulness of this spot is limited. Because you cannot earn badges or new tier levels this way.
The XP for the weapon stops counting in solo/co-op mode once you have roughly two-thirds of the experience bar for the weapon. Players report that some challenges – like dealing 60,000 damage with Boris – also work, but not all of them.
How do I progress further? If you want to continue leveling the weapons and your specialists, you can only rely on the classic All-Out Warfare or the new Hazard Zone. XP is currently disabled in Portal, as some players have exploited the settings for easy farming.
With a few tricks and the right approach, however, you can also easily gain experience points in regular PvP. In our guide on MeinMMO, we explain how this works exactly:
