Apex Legends currently has only one map. However, that may change soon. Dataminers have found a map on a weapon skin that hints at new areas and even more monsters.
What has the dataminer found? Dataminers have taken a closer look at a skin for a weapon. The skin “The Navigator” looked somehow strange, with its irregular lines and markings. Almost like an old map.
And indeed, the skin seems to be exactly that: When unfolded, it reveals a larger map. On it, you can see a landmass that appears to be unknown at first glance, presumably located on the planet Solace. This is the home of the legends Gibraltar and Mirage.
New Map and New Monsters on Weapon Skin Map
What can be seen on the map? If you look closely, you can see a few mountains and a crown on the southern island. That could be the current map King’s Canyon. Although it is an island in the game, perhaps the map is an earlier state of the area before it was remodeled into a battle royale arena.
However, there are many more areas around King’s Canyon. Respawn Entertainment may thus want to add a lot more.
These are the hints for more monsters: Almost more exciting than the new areas on the map are the markings for monsters. Known leviathans are already stomping in the water. They are currently roaming around the known Apex map.
Furthermore, it seems that the feared flyers known from Titanfall inhabit the northern map. The fact that these creatures are coming to Apex is considered quite certain after dataminers found voice lines related to them in the code and they were seen recently in a video teaser for Season 2.
However, new is a third type of creature that could be identified as a “Prowler.” These are tiger-like predators that also appeared in Titanfall and are considered particularly dangerous. A marking for these beasts is actually quite close to the supposed King’s Canyon.
It seems that there will soon be quite a lot of PvE action in Apex Legends.
