The new skin in Fortnite shows a tiny detail that seems to be a big hint for future map changes.
A few days ago, Fortnite released the new outfit of the Dark Bomber in the shop.
The release of this skin, which is the evil counterpart of the Bright Bomber, had fans on alert for a long time. At the end of Season 5 in Fortnite: Battle Royale, the evil twin sister of the Bright Bomber was already seen in the purple cube.
Part of the accessories now suggests that it will be getting heated on the Fortnite map soon.
Boring Back Bling is the eye-catcher
When EPIC unveiled the new Dark Bomber skin, many were impressed by the animations. But soon, they saw potential hints at map changes.
Pay close attention: In the shop, you can see additional items that belong to the skin, such as the dark pickaxe, the Thunderhorse. This is the sinister version of the Llama head that the friendly Bright Bomber wields. In addition to this, there’s a Back Bling that only becomes interesting upon closer inspection.
What do we see? On the Back Bling, there’s a dark horse that breathes fire. But the key hint for the future of Fortnite is hidden in the background. There, you can see purple volcanoes with hot lava flowing down their peaks.
Instead of the corrupted areas that are currently found everywhere on the Fortnite map, the volcanoes can be seen. And there are several of them.
Volcanoes also on the shirt: The Back Bling isn’t the only item that shows the active volcanoes. On the back of the Dark Bomber’s shirt, you can also see several of the fire-breathing mountains.
This is what players suspect: The community is now speculating about what the fire-mountains might mean. Players believe,
- that the corrupted areas will transform into dangerous volcanoes during or by the end of Season 6
- that the flying island will return over Loot Lake after visiting all runes, flip over, and turn into a volcano that makes a lava lake out of Loot Lake
Many theories are connected to the flying island. Some players believe it will fly around the map breathing fire and destroying everything beneath it. As Reddit user OddOfo points out, the shape of the island already looks similar if you turn it upside down.
