The beta of Fallout 76 has only been running for a short time, but many players are already having problems with their storage in the C.A.M.P., which apparently offers too little space for many.
The inventory seems to be too small: The C.A.M.P. building system is a mobile tool that allows players in Fallout 76 to build anything they want anywhere. As former Vault 76 dwellers, players are supposed to repopulate the world. But even now, fans are complaining about space issues. Many players are therefore calling for an adjustment of capacity.

Where to put all the stuff?
In Fallout 76, you collect tons of materials, weapons, gear, food, and medicine. The inventory fills up very quickly. A storage box that you can place in your self-built shelter is meant to provide additional space.
The box offers this much space: The storage can hold about 400 pounds – roughly twice as much as the average player can carry. You can store anything you collect on your travels in it.

What is the problem? But many players complain that this is not enough. The topic is being hotly debated in the Fallout 76 subreddit. Fineous4 writes: “The storage needs to be significantly increased, one way or another. Right now it’s more of a burden than fun.”
Tartooth criticizes: “I spent 1.5 hours yesterday sorting my storage and inventory. This is not Escape From Tarkov, this is Fallout 76!”

Storage too small – what can be done about it?
This is what fans suggest: Now players are sharing some tips to at least tackle the problem. Here’s what fans recommend:
- Keep only materials that you really need for crafting
- Important materials can be marked to simplify overview
- Chems and items like grenades also take up a lot of space. Consider carefully what you really need
- Everything you don’t need should be sold. There are vendors who will give you blueprints for your junk. You can usually find these at train stations
But even with a multitude of tricks, the storage remains too small for many. des_boops therefore suggests linking capacity to levels. The higher you get, the more space should be unlocked.
But whether and how Bethesda will solve the problem remains to be seen.
