In The Division 2, one thing is painfully missing from the agents’ gear: a flashlight.
It’s about this one thing: Although the agents in The Division 2 are well-equipped professionals, they have forgotten an important tool for survival in Washington D.C.: a flashlight. Or another light source that can illuminate dark rooms.
As an agent, you use high-tech drones that autonomously fly alongside you, deploy seeker mines that automatically attack enemies, and hack into almost anything with a highly intelligent ISAC system. But there seems to be no room left in the backpack for a cheap flashlight.
That’s why the missing flashlight is a problem: This issue has been pointed out several times in the Reddit forum. “The game could really use a flashlight,” writes a user, receiving over 3500 upvotes.
The reason for this complaint is that The Division 2 has some really dark rooms. Especially at night, you can hardly see what’s in front of you. Like in this screenshot:

Currently, many agents stumble through the darkness when entering such rooms. It doesn’t help much, as some users say, to turn the screen brightness all the way up.
Even outdoor areas are extremely dark at night, and spotting enemies among trees and bushes can be difficult.
One thing that would help is a flashlight.
A player finds a flashlight, but it is useless
This is what’s up with the flashlight: After numerous players expressed their desire for a flashlight, a Reddit user finally found such a light source in the game. He proudly presented his find to the community:
The special thing: The flashlight even lights up. Unfortunately, you cannot pick it up and take it into dark rooms.
Have you also missed a flashlight in The Division 2?
The Dark Zones are places that are dark, but you will have other problems than a missing flashlight there. All info about these areas here:
