What is the problem in FIFA? Since November 29, 2021, players in FIFA 22 have increasingly complained about a nasty bug in the Ultimate Team mode. Those who want to start a match often have to watch as the game struggles to find an opponent, ultimately spitting out the dreaded message “No Opponents Found”.
One might end up waiting forever, only to return to the menu unplayed. This frustrates fans in multiple ways.
Players angry because they can’t play with their new teams
Here’s why this is particularly unfair: Not being able to play is already bad enough. But what makes it really terrible for FIFA fans is that there was a huge sale for Black Friday until recently. Players stocked up on cool FIFA packs and thus had plenty of top teams ready.
They would naturally like to unleash them on their opponents, but thanks to the No-Opponents-Found bug, the flashy new top players are now sitting idly on the virtual bench, instead of scoring amazing goals on the field or pulling off other football stunts.
To make matters worse, the bug is also said to occur in other game modes.
What are the players’ reactions? As expected, players are upset and disappointed that they can’t play anymore. On reddit, they vent their frustration. A typical comment reads as follows:
I don’t know what’s wrong with the game this year. It’s a miracle to find an opponent in any game mode. They are releasing all this great content in the form of objectives, but what’s the use of that if you can’t even play?

Many players accuse EA of fraud in their frustration, as they lured many players into buying FIFA cards during the sale, which are now often unusable because no one can play properly.
What are the developers planning? However, the problem does not seem to occur equally among all players and regions. Currently, players in North America and Europe are particularly affected.
In a lengthy forum post in the EA FIFA forum, the developers have now reached out and asked for more details about the bug from the affected players. This happened yesterday, on November 29. Since then, many player reports have been posted. An update from the developers is still pending.
