Diablo 4 is approaching its release. Players are now discussing possible issues that could arise. A major point of concern is skins and the shop, as many fans are skeptical about it.
What kind of shop is it? This is the in-game shop of Diablo 4. However, it is not designed to be P2W like in Diablo Immortal. You can only purchase skins for your hero to make them look stylish. What do the players say? The fans of Diablo 4 hope on Reddit that Blizzard will not release “gaudy cosmetics” in the market or in battle passes. Enochite expresses his fears in a large thread:
I have seen too many MMO worlds get completely ruined by exaggerated cosmetics. ESO comes to mind. A great, beautiful, immersive world that somehow falls apart in crowded areas where it just looks like the 80s packed my screen with fluorescent skins and mounts that look like they were designed by 8-year-olds. Similar issues with Lost Ark. I loved the game until I started seeing female characters running around in their underwear in bed.

However, Enochite is not the only one worried that Blizzard could crash its immersive world:

But there are also users who can imagine good skins and changes corresponding to real-world events. Krampus skins or Christmas hats for treasure goblins are examples of how Blizzard could temporarily create festive spirit without compromising the immersive world.
What is it like in Diablo Immortal? The mobile game “Diablo: Immortal” also offers cool skins in its shop that can be purchased for real money. Looking at the skins, you can see that they don’t significantly affect the world. Creepy, distorted, and above all fitting ornaments can make your hero look powerful.
So Blizzard proves with Immortal that they can create good skins; only the release will show how well they will implement it in Diablo 4.
