Monster Hunter Wilds offers a vibrant world with a diverse flora and fauna. As in its predecessor, the small endemic creatures can be caught with a net. However, the community wonders why this feature still exists in the new installment.
Why is the community upset? In addition to the large monsters, there are many small animals that inhabit the world of Monster Hunter Wilds. You can catch these with your catching net. Additionally, you can fish.
In the predecessor Monster Hunter World, you could then release your captured creatures in your own room and keep them as pets. This will no longer be possible in Monster Hunter Wilds, which is causing great disappointment among fans. This also raises the question of why one should still catch the animals at all.
Why is it no longer possible to keep pets? In Monster Hunter Wilds, the personal room is gone, as there is no longer a fixed place to which you always return. Instead, each area has a base camp and several small outposts that you can establish.
The latter can indeed be customized, but this currently excludes interior decoration. You can only customize the outer tent and the outdoor furniture. Therefore, you currently have no way to display your captured creatures.
However, they occasionally appear in the research tent at your base camp in the Wind Plains. Which animals show up there is random, and you cannot control it.
