After a strong start, interest in Diablo 4 is slowly fading. This is normal for games, but many players are currently complaining about their experience with the game on social media. They are waiting for Season 1, for which new info will be available tonight.
Here’s the state of Diablo 4:
- Diablo 4 launched in early June and has thrilled many fans with its technical state and gameplay. Blizzard has apparently even “stolen” its own players.
- There has been great praise especially for the dark world and gameplay, the strong campaign, and the diverse classes.
- Now, after a month, complaints about the endgame of Diablo 4 are increasing, and players say they will stop until Season 1 starts.
What bothers the players? The biggest criticism of Diablo 4 at the moment is the endgame. This has been complained about by hardcore players after just a few days. Fans who play less than 6 hours a day are now slowly reaching this point.
The various endgame activities of Diablo 4 are said to be not diverse and rewarding enough. Apart from Nightmare Dungeons, there is hardly anything to progress further, say the fans.
A major point is especially the loot. Loot is the most important drive for most players in Diablo, but loot in Diablo 4 is simply disappointing for many. On Reddit, a father reports that his sons stopped playing for this very reason. Similar threads are piling up there.
Fans hope for Season 1, Blizzard will provide more info in the Dev Stream
Even the balancing makes some players prefer to wait to see what the future holds. With the big patch before Season 1, all classes have received a buff and the strength of many builds has changed.
However, there were also nerfs, which have reportedly deleted entire builds, as fans claim. Especially the sorceress seems to have been hit hard. Of all classes, she is said to benefit the least from the buffs.
Not everyone finds Diablo 4 bad because of this. Especially casual players who haven’t seen everything yet still enjoy the game. But the criticism is getting louder. Fans say they will check back with Season 1. That should be coming soon.
This is what Blizzard reveals today: On Thursday, July 6th, at 8:00 PM German time, the next Dev Stream for Diablo 4 will take place. It will be about Season 1. We will likely finally find out:
- when Season 1 starts
- what the contents of Season 1 are
- how things will continue with Diablo 4
Season 1 is expected to start in mid to late July. Since we still don’t have a date, late July seems increasingly likely. However, Blizzard is also known for surprises, so we do not want to rule out that they spontaneously set the start for this evening.
