Why have players been waiting so long? For almost seven months, players of Path of Exile have not received any new updates. The reason for this is the release of the successor, which forced the developers to put all resources into the development of PoE2.
Recently, the head of Path of Exile admitted that he has broken his promise, but this was the only way to ensure the release of Path of Exile 2. For fans, this statement was a breach of trust and a severe disappointment, as they were supposed to wait until after the release of the major 0.2.0 update of Path of Exile 2 for a new league.
This took too long for many, so they took matters into their own hands.

Community starts its own league
How did the community address the problem? Players of Path of Exile have waited long enough for a new league and have quickly created their own. Under the leadership of PoE content creator Pohx (via YouTube), more than 28,000 players have come together to start their own league.
In Path of Exile, players have the possibility to create their own league according to their rules. However, this is not free, and in the case of 30,000 player slots for the content creator’s own league, it has cost about €18,000.
The league offers all adventurers a fresh start in the settlers mechanics from the current season. With the new league, all gamers can experience Path of Exile from the beginning, without the inflated economy and the other problems that the advanced league currently brings with it.
What rules are there to observe? The league runs with the current settings without major changes. Only the time until when you can play is limited. The league only runs until April 1, 2025, and the slots are arranged so that you can only join by invitation.
