In World of Warcraft, players are currently killing hundreds of frogs. This is because they spawn very quickly and are particularly rewarding right now. However, Blizzard might not let the frog farmers go unnoticed for long.
What exactly is going on? Specifically, it involves frogs that spawn at the Stillwispertümpel in the Imersangwald near Silvermoon. The special thing about these frogs: they spawn more or less immediately after they are killed.
The killed frogs do not bring you really good rewards, but you can skin the frogs, which is worthwhile for players who want to quickly improve their professions. Players gather around the pond outside Silvermoon to kill hundreds of frogs until their experience bars are full.
The English-speaking magazine PCGamer reports: In the group finder, you can find several players coordinating to farm frogs.
The goal behind the slaughter: to quickly fill up experience points with fast kills and improve their professions. However, this is something that Blizzard could restrict sooner or later.
A frog exploit already caused quite a stir in Mists of Pandaria
Why has this situation occurred before? A few years ago, hundreds of frogs were killed in WoW again: Thanks to the frog exploit in Mists of Pandaria, players were able to gather many resources and become quite powerful. Yet Blizzard interrupted the frog farmers and nerfed the frog exploit and the self-proclaimed demigods.
However, in the end, no one was satisfied with the situation: The frog farmers felt robbed of their progress, and players who did not exploit the frogs felt too weak.
Many users suspect that the fun with the frogs will not last long. As soon as Blizzard nerfs the frogs, for example by drastically increasing spawn times, frog slaughtering is likely to become unattractive quickly. It is unclear whether Blizzard will penalize the previous frog farmers as they did last time.
