Almost three weeks after the release of Forsaken, two of the new Exotics from the expansion have yet to appear in Destiny 2. Players are now eagerly awaiting the first sign of the Wish-Ender bow.
Wish-Ender desperately searched for! After the release of the expansion Forsaken, all new exotic items have already been found – except for two. The exotic hand cannon Malfeasance seems to be reachable through a quest line, as the Guardians recently found out. But what about the Wish-Ender bow? The community has already developed several theories regarding the appearance of the bow.
Is the bow coming from Petra?
Guardians hope for a quest: Players are currently operating under the theory that the Shattered City has a three-week cycle in which the corruption of the city increases and then diminishes again. Bungie recently mentioned this three-week cycle in a livestream without going into further detail.
Players now believe that Petra Venj offers a new quest each of the three weeks, and the final quest, which was actually supposed to be available with the reset on September 25, leads to the bow.
How credible is the theory? According to the Triumphs in the game, there is still a lot to expect in the Shattered City. Guardians hope that some of the upcoming secrets might lead to the Wish-Ender.
There is also a multi-part quest that stretches over weeks and is thus “timegated”, not for the first time in Destiny 2. The quest for the Polaris Lance by Ana Bray on Mars took four weeks, including the catalyst even five weeks.
Some players think that the name hints at the outcome of Petra’s possible quest line and thus to the appearance of the Wish-Ender. It was the last wish of the final boss of the raid that the Shattered City be cursed. With the upcoming quest, Guardians would obtain the Wish-Ender bow and “break” the curse. The city would be reset to its original state before the cycle begins again.
Is the bow coming from the raid?
Can we expect more from the raid? Another theory deals with the Forsaken raid “Last Wish”. Recently, a “Wall of Wishes” has appeared in a room, where Guardians can wish for various things.
To do this, a specific code must be entered at the wall with 20 circles, which fulfills certain “wishes”. The codes have been found by Guardians all over the game world, including on Nessus and in the raid itself, and compiled on Reddit.
So far, 9 wishes have already been “found”. According to data mining, there are supposed to be 14 wishes in total. Some Guardians speculate that there might still be a “15th wish” that could finally allow them to hold the Wish-Ender in their hands.
How credible is the theory? This approach has also found its legitimacy within the community. Players assume that one must first enter all the codes at the Wall of Wishes, thus wishing for all wishes once, before being able to get to wish number 15.
It is assumed that wish number 15 starts a quest that ultimately leads to the bow or revives Cayde-6. The community is currently divided on which of the two they would prefer.
