How is Path of Exile 2 doing? The ARPG, which launched on December 6, 2024, in Early Access on Steam and PS5, is still doing exceptionally well one month after its release. On Steam, PoE2 still reaches player peaks of over 330,000 concurrently active players (via SteamDB).
In the Steam Store, the game ranks 3rd among the best-selling products, just behind the Steam Deck at 2nd place and Counter-Strike 2 at 1st place. However, the community’s reactions are mixed. While many love the grind of the ARPG and can’t get enough of it, others are troubled by the issues.

How are players receiving the ARPG? Although PoE2 continues to enjoy great popularity, many players have developed a sort of love-hate relationship with the title. This is due to many small and larger problems that the game currently has.

The high difficulty level is also not welcome by everyone. Frequent deaths annoy some players in the community. The armor system as a defensive mechanic is also criticized for appearing less efficient than other stats.
