Players keep discussing the worst enemies in Diablo 4. But for some, it is not the monsters that annoy them the most, but obstacles.
In Diablo 4, there are plenty of particularly annoying enemies. For some players, it is the spiders they encounter in the pit. Others, especially new players, are frustrated by the Butcher. And currently, many are particularly annoyed by an elite enemy in the hell hordes.
In a thread on Reddit, players are not discussing specific monsters, but obstacles in the open world of Sanctuary. There, the players mainly mention doors that make life difficult for them in dungeons.
Indestructible doors and annoying obstacles
Why are doors the worst enemies? On Reddit, “CaptainMacaroni” writes that the toughest enemy for a sorceress with a lightning spear build in a nightmare dungeon at level 100 is “all the damn doors you have to open.” Apparently, players have the problem that clicking on the door triggers an attack skill. But the doors remain closed.
Another user writes in the comments: “I love tearing demons apart as a barbarian with rippling muscles, but I have to gently open every door in my way.” And “Gustopherus-the-2nd” writes: “You’d think the walking wall of death and destruction my character unleashes could break a few doors. They must have been great constructions back then.”
What else annoys the players? The poster mentions other disturbances in Diablo 4: Interrupted paths that can only be overcome using the dodge button, such as walls or ladders that player characters have to climb, or ropes that they must swing along.
He posts a screenshot from the area “Ruins of Rakhat Fortress” in Hawezar. He writes: “My ‘favorite annoyance’ in Diablo 4. I’m not a fan of it.” In his post, “xkitox” writes that such things interrupt his momentum and he has to dismount from his mount.

Other users also agree here. “eno_ttv” writes: “Yes, this kind of open-world level design does not suit my taste either. I would rather avoid such areas if I had the choice, so I wouldn’t have to see the limbo animation three times because I dodged too early.”
The problem is that you have to overcome the obstacles using the dodge button. If you accidentally press it too close to the obstacle, you climb down the ladder again or swing back. Then you have to start all over again – which is just annoying and time-consuming.
Nevertheless, the Diablo 4 community seems to be satisfied at present regarding the changes that the developers have announced for the game. In October, Season 6 and “Vessel of Hatred”, the first expansion for Diablo 4, are coming. Many players rave that Blizzard has fundamentally changed the game, stating: “Diablo 4 is essentially a brand new game.”
