In Marvel Rivals there are some heroes with annoying attacks. A hero can counter with a clever trick and end the round for the opponents.
Who is the annoying hero? Punisher is not often chosen as a hero, but he has an attack that some players find annoying.
The Punisher can call a turret, which he then sits on and fires with. This is annoying for many players. The user quiqsilver writes on reddit: “So annoyed by the turret. It’s not hard to counter it, but it’s just annoying, lol.”
In the trailer, you can get a first impression of the first season of Marvel Rivals:
Player counters annoying hero with Doctor Strange
What kind of trick is that? Doctor Strange can open portals between two locations with his attack “Pentagram of Farallah”. This way, players get to one point on the map faster or use the ability in a completely different way.
You can also transport opponents without their consent from A to B. To do this, you need to open a portal on the ground beneath the person and place the other portal further away or even outside the map.
In a clip on reddit, a player shows how he counters the Punisher’s turret this way:
He places a portal under the turret and lets the other one appear outside the map. Thus, the Punisher and his turret fall into the vastness of the abyss and are out of the round.
How does the community react? The comments under the post are enthusiastic:
- InfiniteHench says (via reddit): “This portal is the gift that keeps on giving. I hope they never change it, and I don’t even play Strange.”
- Thundergod250 already has a plan for the next fights (via reddit): “I will switch to Strange every time I see a Punisher turret and then quickly switch back.”
- PotentialSoTrill is excited (via reddit): “Is there anything Strange CANNOT DO??!!”
Doctor Strange can be a good counter not only for annoying heroes with this simple trick, but for pretty much all heroes. Storm is also a strong heroine who is currently being played a lot. MeinMMO explains how you can best use her attacks: Marvel Rivals: Storm – Tips on Attacks and Abilities
