In the ongoing Open Beta of the new Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, many players have already accumulated a lot of kills. One of them holds the current world record of 145 kills, which he has amassed with some skill.
Who is the player? Frizzeyes is a YouTuber with nearly 300,000 subscribers who has been creating content for the new Black Ops Cold War for some time now. After the Open Beta of Cold War started on Thursday, October 15th, Frizzeyes, like many others, has been playing extensively.
In one of his latest videos, he showcases his world record round with 145 kills:
He himself has only 14 deaths, which results in a K/D of nearly 10:1. This is the current world record in Cold War – At least no reports have emerged of players with even more kills. The bar for the record is now set quite high.
Currently, there appear to be some issues with cheaters in the beta, which has led players on consoles to forgo crossplay (via GameStar). Frizzeyes himself plays on the PlayStation 4.
MP5 – Kills thanks to strong weapon
This is how he did it: As his primary weapon, Frizzeyes uses an MP5, which has been regarded as a top weapon in Modern Warfare and has been among the best since release. His loadout looks as follows:
- Primary weapon: MP5
- Secondary weapon: Gallo SA12
- Equipment: Stimulant and C4
- Field Upgrade: Tactical Mask
A large portion of his kills is thanks to his Scorestreaks – these are special rewards for reaching a lot of points. The streaks have already been introduced in our facts about the Cold War multiplayer.
Frizzeyes initially played defensively at the start of the round and picked off careless opponents before becoming a bit more aggressive after a streak of 30 kills.
Especially with the “War Machine,” he has obtained numerous kills. This is a powerful grenade launcher that can even kill multiple enemies instantly. The grenades detonate upon impact and take out enemies within a small radius.
Can I do this too? Generally yes. He achieved the kills in the mode Connected Weapons: Assault on the map Cartel. This mode sends teams of 12 players against each other in a larger version of the “Hardpoint” mode. You work your way further into the enemy territory and basically play until one team occupies the enemy’s last zone.
This way, the rounds can last longer, and there are more kills. Generally, Cold War plays again “simpler” with more focus on action and less on tactics. Something that the shooter god shroud likes very much.
The Open Beta itself has been extended again. After players cracked a code in the alternative reality game “Pawn Takes Pawn,” the beta will now run until Tuesday, October 20th.
