A player shows in a video about Cyberpunk 2077 on Steam a new modification, but the fans are only interested in one particular thing.
What kind of modification is this? Actually, Reddit user Axzsix just wanted to present a modification that allows you to play Cyberpunk 2077 on Steam from the 3rd-person perspective instead of the first-person perspective. Modders have worked long on this and adjusted many animations and the character design.
But the community admires not the work of the modders but instead the backside of the protagonist shown in the video.
Here you can see it for yourself:
A backside comes to the fore
Where are the fans looking? What was supposed to be a showcase of the new modification quickly took a turn in another direction. Thus, the attention of the viewers fell more on the character itself rather than the interactions with the character.
The developers of the modification have ensured that the specially developed running animation showcases the character well. Accordingly, the character’s backside moves bouncily during the animation.
This effect is further intensified in the video, as the body part distinctly outlines under the protagonist’s armor. Thus, fans can hardly take their eyes off the new perspective on the character and also accuse the post creator of intentionally provoking this effect.
What do the fans say? While the modification seems far too unpolished and the interactions with NPCs mentioned by the thread creator barely stand out, some comments revolve around the eye-catcher of the video.
Fans write:
- DeanoMachino84 says on Reddit: “I think we all see the real reason why you installed this.”
- Anonmasterrace7898 says on Reddit: “Four minutes just running around with low FPS and nothing to do.”
- Phar0sa says on Reddit: “Wait, are we supposed to be impressed by this choppy mess?”
Other users note on Reddit that the modification is not yet finished, especially in combat, and looks much worse than the showcase would suggest.
Whether the showcase was deliberately chosen to shift the focus more on the protagonist’s backside than on the actual interaction with the modification remains open. The post was indeed successful with about 6,000 upvotes.
