Diablo 2 Resurrected has been playable for less than 2 months, and there is already the first absolutely crazy record. A streamer has farmed every one of the 386 unique items in the game. Recently, a well-known speedrunner took 4 years to achieve this.
What is the “Holy Grail” in Diablo 2? Fans of Diablo 2 refer to a special challenge as the “Holy Grail.” This requires collecting all unique items (“Uniques”) from the base game and the first expansion “Lord of Destruction.”
In total, the game features 386 unique armors and weapons, some of which have exceedingly low drop chances. A table on Google breaks down all items and their chances. Some of the rarest items have a drop chance of only 0.0033%. These include:
- Brut of the Dark Power (“Darkforce Spawn”)
- Mang Song’s Lesson (“Mang Song’s Lesson”)
- Astreon’s Iron Ward (“Astreon’s Iron Ward”)
- Death’s Webb (“Death’s Webb”)
- Tyrael’s Might (“Tyrael’s Might”)
The “Magic Find” increases the likelihood. But even in the best farming spots in the game, it can take years to find all items. However, one player has managed to do it in just a few weeks.
All Items in Just 2 Months – Streamer Throws Headset Away in Joy
This is the record: The New Zealand streamer and YouTuber Enpherno has created a video in which he celebrates his last find for the Holy Grail. While farming, he finds Tyrael’s Might, the last item he was missing. Out of joy, he even tears his headset off his head:
He took 438 days to achieve this – or over 54 days at 8 hours a day, as he states. The streamer has thus played every day since the release on September 23, 2021.
His video speaks of a World First, and currently, there is no information about another player who has been faster in Diablo 2 Resurrected. For comparison: the Diablo expert MrLlamaSC only got his Holy Grail after 4 years.
What’s next in Diablo 2? The challenge for the Grail is not very widespread among fans as it requires a lot of effort for little reward. Many players are currently waiting for the first ladder, that is, the first season of Diablo 2. However, there is no date for that yet.
Recently, the developers spoke about significant issues in the game. Bugs led to players not being able to access their characters or becoming stuck in endless queues. The team stated that the “too modern way of playing” could lead to difficulties, but also revealed how things will proceed:
