In preparation for the release of Kingdom Come Deliverance 2, numerous RPG fans are currently playing the first part. One player has mastered the toughest 4 achievement combination on Steam in his run.
What achievements are those? The player NeedleworkerDense736 has mastered Kingdom Come Deliverance on Steam with the following four achievements (via Reddit):
- Merciful: Kill no one within the main quest storyline (except for a wight) – mastered so far by 0.7 percent of all Steam owners of Kingdom Come Deliverance.
- Just a Scratch: Complete the game in hardcore mode with all negative specializations – 0.9 percent.
- Virgin: Live in celibacy and complete the game as a virgin – 1.0 percent.
- Hardcore Henry: Complete the game in hardcore mode – 1.2 percent.
The percentages show it: Only a few owners of the RPG have secured even one of these four achievements on Steam. Collecting all four milestones is even more remarkable. By the way, NeedleworkerDense736 has a total playtime of over 105 hours. Whether every minute went into this run is unclear.
The successor to Kingdom Come will be dark – here you can see the story trailer:
Like a Virgin
What does hardcore mean? When you activate the hardcore difficulty level for Kingdom Come Deliverance at the beginning, numerous details of the game change. Here are the highlights:
- Important quest progress no longer grants a save point.
- The battles are deadlier, healing potions take effect more slowly.
- Goods from traders and repairs are more expensive.
- No more fast travel; Henry’s position is not displayed on the map. Points of Interest only appear on the map when you approach them.
- No more displays for health (except in the inventory), stamina, enemy health, and horse stamina.
- You must choose at least two from a list of negative perks.
A comparable hardcore mode for Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 is supposed to come in spring 2025.
How does the community rate the run?
- EltonBongJovi jokes on Reddit: “This Henry knows nothing but hardness in the truest sense of the word.”
- Organic_Interview_30 sees it realistically (via Reddit): “I’m currently trying to get the Virgin achievement, but I never manage to be merciful. I just love killing people too much.” Surely a “in the game” is missing there. Most definitely…
- Alanah_V lives by Madonna’s philosophy (via Reddit): “I want to achieve the Virgin achievement in real life.”
- Crispy1961 recalls on Reddit: “I did this run a few years ago and was pleasantly surprised and even impressed that it wasn’t boring. I only took 21 hours, and the game always offered an alternative to killing. I even enjoyed the sections with the troop battles. I used a mace and was very careful not to deal a lethal blow. This run is highly recommended […].”
What do I need to know about Kingdom Come? The first RPG from Warhorse Studios was released on February 13, 2018, and despite some technical issues, it became a surprise success. On Steam, the RPG holds an 83% positive review rate.
Like part 1, the sequel, which will be released on February 4, 2025, for PC and consoles, will focus on Henry, the son of a blacksmith. Both games offer open-world adventures from a first-person perspective, focusing heavily on the story, an authentic simulation of the game world, and the RPG experience.
The KCD series follows an old-school approach, providing relatively little hand-holding while granting many freedoms. You can find out more here: All about the release, price, editions, system requirements, preload, roadmap, and scope of Kingdom Come Deliverance 2.
