Dune: Awakening is a survival MMO, and the genre itself indicates that it’s about survival. One player, however, has not handled himself well on Arrakis and has made the same mistake twice.
What was that mistake? The player JRPG_Enjoyer shared a video of himself on Reddit. In it, he shows how he loses his sandbike due to the same mistake and then later gets eaten by a worm.
After collecting ores in the Hagga Basin, the player set out through the dunes. Meanwhile, a sandstorm is brewing behind him, which is why JRPG_Enjoyer has to hurry. He doesn’t pay attention to his path, but to the sandstorm, and before he knows it, he drives his sandbike into the quicksand.
He barely manages to pull himself out of the quicksand, but he has to leave his bike there, which gets swallowed by the sand. He returns to the rocky formation where he was before and tries again immediately. This time, the player uses the sprint ability of the Bene Gesserit to quickly get to safety. But he lands again in the quicksand, so deep that he can’t get out anymore. Just before he sinks, the sandworm comes and eats him. Thus, he has lost everything.
