Currently, a player in the Elden Ring community is particularly celebrated. This player has named themselves “Let me solo her” in the game, which means something like “Let me kill her alone” in German. They have taken it upon themselves to take down Malenia, one of the toughest bosses, for other players – Alone, naked, and wearing only a pot on their head.
What kind of boss is this? Malenia is one of the hardest bosses in the late game of the action RPG:
- Malenia has very fast and powerful attack combos that can be deadly with just a few hits.
- Additionally, she restores her own health with hits.
- As if that wasn’t enough, she has a second phase, where she replenishes her health.
- Then her attack pattern also changes, and she attacks you with the status effect Scarlet Rot.
Many players have trouble with her. But the player Klein Tsuboi has made it his mission to help them. As “Let me solo her” he not only stands by other players.
He kills Malenia solo, without armor, and only with a pot on his head. The community is already celebrating him as a legend, his video has gained a lot of attention on reddit .

Why is this so special? Aside from the fact that the boss is already considered difficult, Klein Tsuboi makes it even harder for himself.
Because without armor, he can’t take much damage. Moreover, the health points of bosses scale with the number of co-op partners. Thus, Malenia can withstand significantly more than she would otherwise.
As the video shows, Klein Tsuboi has no problem with Malenia’s attack pattern. He manages to avoid taking any damage throughout the entire fight.
He is armed with two katanas, Bloody Streams and the Uchigatana. The Uchigatana apparently has a war ash that causes frost damage. You can find all the info about the weapons in our tier list with all 309 specimens.
This way he can gradually add frost and bleed damage to Malenia. He himself writes:
If you have played Elden Ring and tried to fight Malenia on PC, you may have encountered a summon named “Let me solo her”. I have helped countless tarnished defeat Malenia by going in naked except for a pot on my head. […] My sign will always be down for desperate tarnished.
This is how players react to his idea: The community is hard on Klein Tsuboi. A commenter on YouTube, for example, DaitoByte writes: “A champion among men. A hero in the dark. Legends are told of the man who wears nothing but a pot and wields two blades. The goddess of rot can only flee from the one who bears the name: Let me solo her!”
Many in the community are happy when players take such measures to support others. They also praise how easily he takes down Malenia.
On reddit OneOfManyDucks writes: “Is that it? Is that the legendary “git gud” that people talk about?” To which realfakedoors000 responds: “This man is born ‘gud’.”
shidmaster64 reminisces about a similar hero: “This guy reminds me of a guy when WoW first came out. A player named Swampy, an orc warrior, […] helped newbies and warded off alliance gankers. A true hero.”
Players also exchange their own stories and experiences in Elden Ring, discussing how to overcome certain areas or which tactics and builds work particularly well.
Klein Tsuboi’s post has now received over 1400 comments and around 29,000 upvotes (as of April 13, 12:57 PM). His YouTube video is also extremely successful and has over 85,000 views. Normally, his uploads there receive only a few clicks; his last video is 2 years old. Now the YouTuber has probably gained many new fans.
