The player “BigNickEnergy” realized this when, just before the end of a round of “Search & Destroy”, he lost patience with the behavior of his teammate.
So he quickly eliminated his last teammate, grabbed the bomb, planted the explosive, and even managed to take out the two remaining enemies afterwards.
From team killer to match winner in seconds
What did it look like? Under the nickname “slimjim9876”, the reckless hero posted the short clip on reddit and has been celebrated for his actions. The thread with the video currently has more than 19,000 upvotes (May 20, 5:30 PM) and is full of comments criticizing the seemingly useless teammate:
How did it go down? On the large map “St. Petrograd”, a standoff occurred in the final round of a “Hardcore Search & Destroy” match. The score was 5 to 5, with 2 players left on each side. The next action would decide the entire match.
The clip begins just before the announcer states that only 30 seconds are left to play. “BigNickEnergy” checks the leaderboard and throws a disdainful glance at his sneaky teammate with the explosive.
Then he makes a heartless decision. Instead of waiting for his teammate to react, he pushes his colleague down the stairs in a melee attack and grabs the bomb. The two were already quite close to objective A, and “BigNickEnergy” takes a huge risk and plants the bomb as quickly as he can.
Once the explosive is planted, he throws a grenade towards the right side, towards the vehicles, and then goes directly to his FAL with thermal scope via the left side. Here, he manages to take down an enemy under the archway just before he himself gets taken out by the other enemy.
However, the grenade then goes off, along with the transporter in the corner. This took out the last remaining enemy and ended the match victoriously for his team. From team killer to match winner in seconds.
