How much playtime is actually in V Rising? A player has done pretty much everything there is to do in the game – even though he plays on a PvP server. An impressive achievement that took a lot of time.
What has the player achieved? The reddit user mrdrpinhead has shared his accomplishments and shows how he possesses all soul shards on a PvP server and has equipped 9 of his servants with gear level 83. He himself is wearing level 85 – the maximum in the game.
There are only 3 different shards. Each player can own a maximum of 9 servants and equip them up to level 83. This means that mrdrpinhead has pretty much achieved everything there is to do in V Rising.
The only thing we don’t know is whether his blood bank is full. If he has also locked up a donor with 95-100% purity from the 6 different blood types, there will hardly be anything left for him to do – except defend his achievements.
How long does it take? He states his playtime as 88 hours. This means he has played about 9 hours a day on average since V Rising was released. However, the picture also shows that he was not alone; at least one other player is with him.
With 88 hours, he has still achieved a decent playtime. The community keeps asking whether V Rising is worth it, and the nearly monotonous answer is: “That’s the best 20 bucks I’ve invested in a long time.”
The achievement of mrdrpinhead is particularly remarkable because he plays on a PvP server, as he himself says. There are still a few special rules there.

Why is this such a great achievement? On PvP servers, there are only three soul shards at all. These can be collected to provide two-hour special buffs. To obtain them, you must defeat the toughest bosses in the game.
Afterwards, the shard must be brought home. When you carry a shard, you are slower, cannot teleport, transform, or ride. Any other player can simply take the shard from you on a PvP server.
Once you have embedded a shard at home in the corresponding Eye of Twilight, every player on the server sees the location. You must therefore also defend your loot against greedy opponents.
mrdrpinhead possesses all 3 shards simultaneously. The only way for opponents to get these now is to take them from him. But since he is apparently well-equipped, that should be difficult…
Can I also have fun alone? On a private server or in pure PvE, you will probably not take as long to achieve everything. After all, other players will not make your life difficult.
Then again, vampires like mrdrpinhead are apparently also experienced survival players. If you take your time and enjoy the game, you will easily reach your hours. We are currently playing in a 2-player co-op and have reached about half of the game with around 40 hours.
Additionally, V Rising is still in development and currently in Early Access. There is already an inaccessible area on the map that will surely come. However, we do not know when it will continue.
