Hell 3 is currently a point that many players in Diablo Immortal are struggling to master. They simply cannot progress – which may be due to the fact that they are playing incorrectly. At least that is what a veteran of the game suggests.
Where do players fail? In Diablo Immortal, you can switch between different difficulty levels. Traditionally, these are labeled especially, such as with Torment or Hell.
Diablo Immortal has Hell levels 1-5. Each higher level provides better loot and is sometimes necessary to obtain certain parts of the popular sets. However, many players currently find that Hell 3 is the limit.
What makes Hell 3 so difficult? Those who play actively without paying in Diablo Immortal are currently stuck around Hell 2 and want to ascend to Hell 3. However, there is a problem: Hell 3 is designed for a combat rating of 2,120.
Combat rating determines your strength in PvE. If you are below a required value, you deal less damage to enemies, while also taking more damage yourself. This is exactly where players are currently struggling to progress.
Once you reach a combat rating of about 1,800, progress is only slow if you do not spend money. This criticism has already been made about the overly difficult new raid boss Vitaath. One player now explains how to easily overcome this limit.

3 Tips to Help with Hell 3
Here’s how to make it easier: On reddit, user iseebirdsfly speaks up. He provides tips for free-to-play players to increase their combat rating faster. Apparently, many are simply doing things wrong because they are not adequately explained in the game:
- Farm Paragon: Until you reach Paragon 80, combat rating does not matter. Set this as your first goal. In our guide, we reveal where the best farming spots are.
- Obtain sets: Even if you have not reached a combat rating of 2,120 yet, you should aim for a 4-piece set bonus from Hell 3 dungeons. For this, you will need help from teammates or your clan.
- Only then increase your combat rating strategically through various methods:
- master the challenge portal at level 60
- defeat Vitaath at level 1
- look for groups for hidden hoards – the bosses there have high chances for legendaries.

Once you have reached a combat rating of about 2,000, your damage should be high enough according to iseebirdsfly to farm in Hell 3 without immediately dying – despite warnings. From there, you can also search for loot in the open world.
Only with a sufficient number of legendary items will you ultimately reach a combat rating of 2,120. From here, you will be able to farm for quite a while, as Hell 4 already requires a rating of 3,250.
