In ARC Raiders, many players choose between a more hostile or friendly player behavior, determining how they interact with other raiders in the shooter. One player, however, proves to the community that there is still enough room for mercy and new opportunities between friend and foe.
What is the player’s approach in ARC Raiders? The player SpeakInCode6 shared with the community on Reddit that he has a very special approach in ARC Raiders: He likes to defibrillate opposing raiders when they don’t become – as he calls them – “toxic assholes” after his knockout.
To illustrate this, he presents a clip of such a situation that led to his former opponent becoming a friendly teammate, thereby changing his entire perspective on the game.
And the community appreciates him for this good deed, stating: “Maybe there’s still hope” (ch3ck18 on Reddit).
Community appreciates the player’s mercy, but cannot help but express criticism elsewhere.
What happens in the situation between the two players? In the clip from SpeakInCode6, you can see how the two raiders get into a shootout on a staircase while one is fleeing and the player pursues. After a few moments, the opposing raider goes down, but not without giving a small compliment: “You really got skills.” And that was all SpeakInCode6 needed.
He decided to revive the raider who had fallen to him, to which the confused opponent understandably reacts with surprise.
SpeakInCode6 calms his former enemy with: “It’s all good. It’s just a game, man, we’re just messing around, okay?”
The clip ends with a farewell and a lingering “You changed my entire perspective on this game, what the hell?”

How does the community react to the player’s good deed? In the community, SpeakInCode6 is praised for his behavior. Other players also report how such behavior has been part of their own memorable moments in ARC Raiders that even lead to friendships: “I play a few times a week with a guy I met in a similar situation. A pretty cool guy. ARC Raiders is something entirely different when people are people.” (Omnipitous on Reddit)
The other major reaction to the player’s clip completely ignores his good deed. These players focus much more on SpeakInCode6’s skill, which they cannot leave unmentioned:
“Your aim is really unsettling, but your attitude and sportsmanship are top-notch,” writes DIo_22, to which SunsetSpark responds: “Watching console/controller clips makes me nervous, lol.”
RyabBordello replies: “That’s the trade-off for being able to sit back on the couch with your legs up.”
SpeakInCode6 also writes: “I’m old and not particularly good, but I still have an incredible amount of fun with this game.”
A Twitch streamer also found himself in a similar situation as the friendly player: He wanted to save an opponent after taking him out himself. However, the ARC machines had a word to say: Twitch streamer wants to save a player in ARC Raiders he has taken out, but the AI has other plans
