Since the release of The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim, players have faced the craziest challenges. A fan has come up with a very special task, the outcome of which he now proudly shares with the public.
What was the challenge? The player on Reddit has made it his mission to kill 1,000 people in Skyrim without killing a single animal, monster, or other creature. In a screenshot, he shows a statistic that he has already slaughtered 999 NPCs. His 1,000th victim is already visible in the background.
To complete the 1,000, the player intends to assassinate none other than Emperor Titus Mede II. personally. In the image, we see him sneaking up with his dagger – ready to kill his 1,000th victim.
However, killing 1,000 NPCs without killing an innocent rabbit, aggressive wolf, or any other creature requires a lot of skill. The player reveals how he accomplished this feat.
Skyrim still fascinates numerous players today:
Player in Skyrim is a pacifist, but not against humans
How did he do it? To kill so many NPCs, the user played as an illusion assassin. In order not to kill any being except humans, he initially ran away from most encounters. Later, he allegedly used illusion magic to avoid enemies that were not humans.
Alternatively, illusion magic can be used to level up. A player has made it his mission to reach level 1,337 with just one illusion spell.
The player in this case used the illusion spell “Silence” until he could apply higher levels of the spell “Calm.” In combination with “Master of the Mind,” he was able to prevent all creatures from fighting.
The player claims that he has killed every single bandit and outcast he could find. He also did not take on quests that required him to kill undead or others. To keep the levels of the NPCs artificially low, he avoided leveling other skills like lockpicking.
He did not make it easy for himself: He used the difficulty level “Expert,” which is the second-highest difficulty level. However, once he could fully utilize the illusion spell “Calm,” it felt like an Easy Mode for him.
It could still take several years for The Elder Scrolls 6 to be released. However, an RPG might fill the gap until Bethesda’s upcoming RPG is released. MyMMO author Max Handwerk reveals that Avowed could be a great alternative for all Skyrim fans: The RPG Avowed could finally fill the gap that Skyrim has left
