In Diablo 4, a player faced the toughest boss in the game and defeated him with an attack twice in a row. Overall, it didn’t even take him 2 minutes – but only because the boss took his time.
The player Struth Gaming took on the toughest boss with his necromancer. The fact that the boss has two phases only meant a longer waiting time for the player, as his attack was enough to take down the boss in both phases.
Another player first realized at a later point that his build was so powerful that he could deal up to 1.8 billion damage.
Whether the build remains this strong in Season 1 remains to be seen. Here you can see a trailer for the first season in Diablo 4:
More waiting time than combat time
How did he do that? In a YouTube video, Struth Gaming shows how he defeats the boss in both phases with his necromancer. He uses the ability “Bone Prison.” He deploys the Bone Prison, adds “Deadly Roots,” and waits.
The Bone Prison completely envelops the opponent in bones so that he cannot move out of the effect area. The Deadly Roots stun the boss and simultaneously make him vulnerable.
Other players have a bit more to do in the fight against the boss and even switch their gear during the fight.
Additionally, Struth Gaming uses “Blood Orbs,” blood orbs that surround the player and heal him upon collection. Due to the ability of his chest armor, “Bone Spirits” also spawn when collecting blood orbs, dealing additional damage and finishing the boss off.
The chest armor is the unique item “Blood Artisan’s Cuirass.” Here you can see an overview of all unique items in Diablo 4.

Here you can see the short video where Struth Gaming defeated the boss:
Why did he have to wait longer than fight? The boss took an enormous amount of damage at the beginning of the second phase and was actually already down. However, the usual attacks that the boss brings along had to play out.
The boss flies around, tears apart one part of the platform after another, and corners the player with ground attacks. However, this hardly impresses Struth Gaming. He dodges nearly perfectly, takes little damage until the end, and spins like a top while waiting for the end of Phase 2 to deliver the finishing blow to the boss.
What can the class do? The necromancer can resurrect the dead and make them fight for him. He can wield blood and bone magic, ripping flesh from enemies or summoning spikes from the ground. If that is not enough, he can even make corpses explode.
