A player has set a goal: to completely play through Diablo 4 and unlock all achievements. Even now, after achieving this, he doesn’t stop – because for him, the grind is not over yet.
How long does it take to play through Diablo 4? If you only want to experience the story, you can finish it in about 15 to 20 hours. With the expansion Vessel of Hatred, you can add another 10 hours. However, in an ARPG like Diablo, it really starts after the story because then you can level up your characters, unlock difficulty levels, collect and craft equipment, develop builds, and hack through endgame activities.
Many players put Diablo 4 aside once they have reached their goals and then return at the start of a new season. Leveling up new characters at the start of a new season is for some the best time in Diablo 4.
A player has spent over 4,300 hours in Diablo 4 since its release on Steam. The game was released there on October 17, 2023. He has not only leveled characters to the maximum level in all realms but also unlocked all achievements required for 100% completion.
“You just have to figure out how to play it right”
What has the player achieved? In a Reddit post, PermissionMurky2887 explains that his goal was to completely finish Diablo 4 – and that is exactly what he did. In the screenshots, you can see his characters with Paragon level 300 in all game modes: seasonal, Hardcore, Eternal. Additionally, he has 660 out of 660 achievements in the game and all Steam achievements:
Why does he not find Diablo 4 as bad as others say? In short: Because it is fun for him. He admits that the path was hard – especially the grind of the many Paragon levels and achieving all the achievements. But: “The game is not as bad as everyone says. You just have to figure out how to play it right,” he writes. He plays Diablo 4 with full love and seriousness.
Particularly avid players repeatedly criticize Diablo 4 for the lack of activities in the endgame. However, for PermissionMurky2887, there is still something to do. In a comment, he says that he is currently collecting mount armor from all areas – and on the side, he also wants to complete Diablo 3. For him, it’s simply his “hobby after work”.
In the comments, the player reports that he didn’t need a crazy achievement for completion since it doesn’t count towards overall achievements. He must have been lucky because for a specific achievement, he would have needed to defeat a special enemy over 6 million times.
