A woman has apparently played so much Baldur’s Gate 3 that she would now fit into the game based on her behavior.
In recent weeks, a woman has gone through an amazing transformation after countless hours with Baldur’s Gate 3, at least according to her partner. RandomToxicSwede reports on reddit that the RPG has influenced his partner so much that her entire behavior has changed – in a way reminiscent of James Bond villains

What exactly does he say? On reddit, RandomToxicSwede reports that his wife has spent a ton of hours with Baldur’s Gate 3 in the last few weeks. This has influenced not only her speech habits but also her body language. Instead of her normal accent
, she now speaks with a posh British
accent. Her body language also seems different now – like that of a James Bond villain.
Astarion is obviously to blame
How did this happen? RandomToxicSwede says she now calls him Darling
(Darling) and uses many other buzzwords that come from one of the most popular and charismatic companions in the game – we are, of course, talking about Astarion.
The reddit user also adds the following:
I haven’t played the game myself, but I constantly get story snippets from her gaming sessions. Recently, she wanted to show me something on Instagram, and the platform only recommended a series of images of that vampire guy. A large portion of her free time is now spent listening to interviews with the voice actors from this game.

Astarion seems to particularly impress her – no surprise. Numerous players rave about him and are just eager to break through his cool exterior. Many are also fans of his voice actor, Neil Newborn. He was so good in his role as Astarion, that Larian Studios even had to rein him in because things got too heated during the recordings.
RandomToxicSwede explains that his partner had already been influenced by pop culture before. When they watched Breaking Bad together, she started saying “Bitch” at every opportunity. She is a huge One Piece fan, and every time she watches it, there is a phase lasting a week where she uses random Japanese phrases and behaves like she is in the anime
