It often happens that buyers of used goods find unexpected items among their new possessions. A recent find in a PlayStation 2 package of GTA 3 reminds of the “good old times.”
What is this find? The user niallniallniall uploaded a picture on Reddit, showing not only the used, freshly purchased PlayStation 2 package of GTA 3 but also a sheet of paper. The previous owner noted a series of cheats on it.
Specifically, the cheat list includes cheats for
- Lowering the wanted level
- Increasing the wanted level
- Unlocking all weapons
- Providing full health
- Providing maximum armor
The cheat list shows how many played GTA 3 for hours back then: Raising the wanted level through cheats or obviously criminal behavior, then using their destructive arsenal of weapons to fend off the approaching police, FBI forces, and soldiers.

- BigRedNY explains on Reddit why they extensively used the cheat: “My friends and I constantly used this cheat and had competitions on how long we could survive with 6 stars. Those were good times.”
- GoodQuestion97 celebrates the find on Reddit: “This isn’t a used game, but a family heirloom.”

- pvtbucko sums it up on Reddit succinctly: “The good old times.”
One player ultimately recalls a good friend who had written a complete guide for Suikoden on 112 pages just to pass it on to him. What a legend.
Even in the (still) current GTA 5, cheats play an important role for many players. Even though they likely won’t end up on extra sheets anymore. What cheat codes exist and what they do, you can find out here: GTA 5: All cheats for PS5 and Xbox
