In FIFA 20, the first players can play starting today, September 18th. When you can play early and before the release, you can find out here in the overview.
Who can play today? If you are playing FIFA 20 through Origin Access on PC, the new FIFA season is expected to kick off for you today, on September 18th.
EA Sports officially announces September 19th as the release date, but it has been the case in previous years that Origin Access members could start a day earlier.
The servers should go live around 5 PM or later in the evening.
What about EA Access? Madden 20 from EA Sports launched this year through EA Access a day before the stated release date. Therefore, EA Access members might also hope to start the trial version of FIFA 20 today.
Update: According to EA Access via Twitter, the FIFA 20 trial version will start through EA Access (and Origin Access) on the evening of September 19th. All info on this here:

Release Information for FIFA 20 via Origin Access and EA Access
This is Origin Access: This is a subscription service that gives you access to a collection of EA games and allows you to play new games – like FIFA 20 – in advance. Origin Access is available only on PC.
If you have Origin Access Premier, you get unrestricted early access to FIFA 20. With the standard Origin Access subscription, you only get a 10-hour trial version.
Be sure to keep an eye out around 5 PM to see if you can start FIFA 20 then.
This is EA Access: This is basically “Origin Access” for PS4 and Xbox One. However, here you only get a 10-hour trial version of FIFA 20. Although videos are circulating online about an EA Access glitch that supposedly allows extending the trial version, we strongly advise against it.
With EA Access, you are expected to kick off the FIFA 20 season around September 19th at 5 PM, but there is hope that it might also start for you today.

When will everyone else start playing FIFA 20?
If you do not purchase FIFA 20 through a subscription service, but through editions, you will have to wait until next week.
Here are the release dates for the FIFA 20 editions:
- September 24, 2019: Early access with Champions Edition
- September 24, 2019: Early access with Ultimate Edition
- September 27, 2019: Release of the Standard Edition of FIFA 20
Where can I pre-order the FIFA 20 editions? You can find all info about the FIFA 20 editions and pre-ordering here. Here you will also find out which edition is worth it for you.
Is anyone already playing FIFA 20?
Who has FIFA 20 already? Officially, we know of a few people who already possess a copy of FIFA 20 and can play it: Jesse Lingard, Eden Hazard, and Virgil van Dijk. EA Sports has revealed images and videos of these “real” football professionals receiving their FIFA 20 copy:
However, some others are already playing FIFA 20. Images are appearing on social media showing in-game scenes, like those from the FUT trader KMA451, who shows that the transfer market in FUT 20 on PS4 is slowly waking up:
He himself claims to be playing FIFA 20 already through a code from an anonymous source. And he reports that more and more players are gaining access to FIFA 20.
Why is starting before the release so exciting? The FIFA fans want to start as soon as possible in Ultimate Team to quickly build a competitive team and dominate in Weekend League. Those who start earlier have advantages over those who are still waiting for the release of their edition.
Today, on September 18th, the web app for FUT 20 is starting. This allows every FUT 19 veteran to begin team building today. All information on this here:
