In FIFA 18 Ultimate Team, you can no longer play together. Co-op in online modes is no longer possible. Fans have now started a petition to demand the return of the guest feature.
Update October 11: EA Sports has responded!
In recent years, it was possible in the FUT mode to play the online modes with a guest. This means a friend would grab a second controller, log in as a guest, and then you would compete together against another random player.
This guest feature is missing in FUT 18. The reasons for this are clear: EA Sports wants to prevent unfair advantages that co-op players could have over solo players. In many cases, solo players had advantages because the AI could maintain order better than a second player running wild on the field; however, FUT 18 should ensure competitive balance for all players.
Therefore, you can no longer play FUT Online Draft and FUT Online Seasons together. Many fans are now disappointed – and angry!

Whether and how EA Sports will respond to these complaints is currently unknown.
Although the guest feature has been removed, there are some other new things in FUT 18:
