Planetside 2 celebrates Auraximas. It is a Christmas event. But since Planetside 2 is a military MMO shooter, you don’t celebrate here in a cozy way with mulled wine and gingerbread cookies. Rather, there is a lot to shoot during Auraximas!
Die, wretched snowman!
On the occasion of the holidays, snowmen spawn everywhere in Planetside 2 that you can ruthlessly shoot down. A dead snowman is a good snowman, because the cold fellow gives you experience points upon dying. There are even particularly tough golden snowmen that drop even more experience points and a valuable piece of loot. Where there is no snow, “stone men” appear instead of snowmen.
In addition to the snowman battle, the current patch also brings new weapons and equipment items to Auraxis. For example, the quad projectile launcher “NSX Masamune” or the “Rocklet Rifle”. The latter fires mini-rockets, giving you good chances against light vehicles.
