Planetside 2 will soon receive a very large update. This introduces so many exciting game elements that battles will never play out the same way as before.
What is coming for Planetside 2? The development team has announced a another huge update for the online shooter called Escalation. It is set to permanently change the battles on the distant planet Auraxis.
Many changes are coming
What does this update bring? Escalation is intended to provide a deeper gaming experience that is even more strategic than Planetside 2 already was. The shooter will be massively changed as follows:
- The Bastion Fleet Carriers come into play as massive battleships. You summon the ships to join the battle. To shoot them down, you need to work as a group and attack their weak points.
- You can manufacture new War Assets, such as the Bastion Fleet Carriers, shields, a connection to an orbital satellite that fires at a location on the battlefield, or you summon a ground vehicle that is delivered to you from the air.
- Outfit Wars represent a new monthly challenge where you fight for control of the planet and earn rewards and resources.
- New advancement opportunities through loyalty levels. This allows you to earn the currency Merits, which you can use to enhance yourself further.
- The Sanctuary as a social hub where you find teammates for the next war.
When does the update start? Escalation is already available on the test server. The update will be deployed on the live servers on February 19.
An update for every player
What is special about Escalation? It is an update that offers something for all players, regardless of their level. The upcoming changes will affect the entire gameplay, making it more exciting and tactical. Planetside 2 will not play the same with Escalation as it did before.
