The SciFi MMO shooter Planetside 2 will soon delight its fans on PlayStation 4 as well. The free-to-play game has started registration for the closed beta. Interested parties can register with their email on the official website.
Original launch date: 2014
The PS4 version of Planetside 2 was originally supposed to launch in the first quarter of 2014. However, Sony did not follow through, which is why the closed beta registration is only possible now at the end of 2014. It is expected to start at the beginning of next year. However, securing a spot with registration is not guaranteed, and it is also unknown if there will be a subsequent open beta. PlayStation 4 players can especially look forward to free massive battles in Planetside 2, where countless players fight on foot, in the air, or on vehicles against each other.
Ultimate release date unclear
However, these massive battles were the reason for the significantly delayed PS4 port. Reason: The CPU of the PS4 does not seem to cooperate as the developers had hoped. However, a longer development phase usually benefits players in the end. It is still unclear when exactly the release of Planetside 2 for PlayStation 4 will take place. The target is the year 2015.
