The team behind the online shooter Planetside 2 announced during a live stream that another continent will soon be introduced. However, strictly speaking, it is not actually a real continent.
Players of Planetside 2 can be excited, as the developers are currently working on a new continent. Oshur, however, has an interesting peculiarity.
The continent that is actually an archipelago
A new continent is coming: During the livestream, the team explained that they are currently working on a new landmass for the online shooter with Oshur. Players can expect new areas that they must conquer.
A continent or an archipelago? Interestingly, it was also said during the stream that Oshur consists of a collection of islands that feature various biomes. Technically, Oshur is therefore not a true continent, but rather an archipelago. Nevertheless, the developers refer to it as a continent.
Airplanes are important: Because Oshur is an archipelago, airplanes will be very important. After all, you need some way to get from island to island. Therefore, planes are a good option to move troops and quickly jump into battles.
More details to follow: In the video, a very early work-in-progress version of Oshur was shown. The developers have only been working on the new landmass for a few days. So, no conclusions should be drawn about the final version yet. However, the team wants to withhold further details about Oshur and will reveal more later. Currently, it is also not confirmed when Oshur will be integrated into the game.
Planetside 2 will receive additional content.
