The MMORPG Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning has actually been dead since the end of 2013. However, the private server Return of Reckoning allows fans to continue playing. Thanks to Twitch streamers, the server is experiencing great success, which is why Twitch Drops are now being introduced.
What kind of server is this? Return of Reckoning is a private server for the MMORPG Warhammer Online, which was discontinued in December 2013. The server has been running since mid-2014 and has been expanded over the years, for instance, through the introduction of higher tier levels.
This server has been so successful recently, thanks to Twitch streamers and YouTubers, that even the server capacities had to be increased.
Twitch streamers to be rewarded
Why is the game so successful? Warhammer Online has a community that takes the game very seriously. This can also be seen in the streams of the MMORPG. Those who follow these quickly notice the mature community that engages in roleplay and plays very seriously. This is very well received.
What’s new now? The server operators announced that they will now activate Twitch Drops for the streamers. They do this to thank them for their support.
With the Twitch Drops, the viewers of the streamers can obtain items such as dyes, gold, fame points, pets, mounts, crafting boxes, talismans, and even quest chains.
The major quest chain is supposed to connect the streamer with the players watching him. The streamer will receive a key that allows the viewers to continue with this quest. This effort was made to connect the community more with the streamers.

When do the Twitch Drops start? The first event, through which you can get items, begins on Friday, July 31 and ends on Monday, August 3. A list of the streamers through which the drops will be distributed can be found in the official forum.
What’s special about it? Return of Reckoning is not an official server for the MMORPG Warhammer Online. Such private servers are generally not allowed. Introducing Twitch Drops is not just bold; it’s also unusual. Normally, this only happens on official servers or when the developers/publishers are behind it.
Thus, the private server essentially behaves like an official one.
However, the operators of the server state that they do not gain any financial benefits from this initiative.
Activating Twitch Drops is a new milestone for us, but it does not financially benefit the server in any way (just to clarify that).
For months, we have been thinking about how we can support the streamers who stream the gameplay for hours and days, support the player base, and somehow promote the server. In this way, we give players an incentive to watch the streams, appreciate the work of the streamers, and at the same time benefit from the rewards.

It remains to be hoped that the server will continue to operate for a long time.
