The MMORPG The Elder Scrolls Online (ESO) offers you three alliances to join. Find out through our quiz which one suits you best.
What it’s about: In The Elder Scrolls Online, you have the choice between 10 different races and three different alliances:
- The Aldmeri Dominion
- The Daggerfall Covenant
- And the Ebonheart Pact
Your choice of allegiance primarily influences your starting area and PvP. After that, thanks to One Tamriel, you can go anywhere, even into the territories of the other factions. Each alliance starts in its own area, and in Cyrodiil, the contested map, you ride under the respective banner. The starting areas are as follows, depending on the alliance:
- The chaotic village “Khenarthis Rest” – starting area of the Aldmeri Dominion
- The sandy island “Stros M’Kai” – starting area of the Daggerfall Covenant
- The snow-covered “Wrothgar” – starting area of the Ebonheart Pact

Which alliance should you join?
Of course, such a choice can also have purely practical reasons. If you have not purchased the “Away from Home” package in the Crown Store, you can only play three races in each alliance.
However, through the package, you can unlock that every race becomes playable in any alliance. You are entirely unrestricted with the Imperials. You can find out which race suits you in our other ESO quiz:
