Peria Chronicles is a cute anime MMO with a cell animation look. In it, we fight against cute monsters, which we catch, tame, and use as battle beasts in true Pokémon style after the fight. At the G-STAR 2016 fair in Korea, the first trailers and gameplay scenes were shown.
Do you love anime, Pokémon and MMOs? And would you love to have everything at once? Then rejoice and be glad, because publisher Nexon has exactly what you want with Peria Chronicles! The game already makes anime fans happy with its lovingly designed cell animation style. The gameplay almost looks like an anime. Your heroes also look typical for the genre, and the editor shown here allows for a lot of detail.
In addition to many hairstyles and hair colors, you can also dress your characters in various outfits, from a good schoolgirl outfit to daring combos of crop tops and miniskirts with capes. The animations are well-done. They are as smooth and fluid as those in a good animated film. This makes the heart of any anime fan rejoice!
Gotta catch ’em all!
So much for the anime look. But what about the promised Pokémon? These are known as “Kirana” in Peria Chronicles. Unlike the cute Pokémon, the Kirana are dangerous beasts despite their cute appearance, which are hostile to humans. Therefore, you will frequently encounter cuddly creatures that you can beat up and then catch and tame as a punishment.
By the way, the creatures also replace your class. Instead of choosing a character type at the beginning of the game, you grab select monsters, which provide their own skills when you call them into battle. Depending on which creatures you use, you have different abilities. You can then continue to level these up and form an unbeatable team of humans and monsters. We have embedded the gameplay videos and the trailer from the G-STAR fair here for you. Enjoy watching! Unfortunately, we currently do not know when and if Peria Chronicles will be released in the West.
But if you want to play a nice anime game with a cell animation look right now, you should try Cortyn’s favorite game Valkyria Chronicles.
