Since the last cleanup, many players have again left the Early Access of Pax Dei. Therefore, the development team is once again resorting to drastic measures to create more space in the MMORPG.
What are the developers doing? This month, a cleanup operation is taking place. Just like in August 2024, abandoned plots will be removed to make room for new ones. During this cleanup operation, almost 8% of all plots were removed.
Since then, there have been various occasions when the plots were cleaned up. But this time, you have one more chance to secure your house.
When is the operation taking place? Players have until February 28, 2025, at 11:00 AM to secure their plot. Then the cleanup operation will be conducted.
You can see how beautiful the world of Pax Dei looks in the following trailer:
5 chances to secure your plot
How can the plot be saved? You only need to meet one of 5 criteria if you want to save your plot. The following 5 points must apply for the plot to be deleted:
- No login in the last 28 days
- There are fewer than 20 building components on your plot
- You have fewer than 7 chests
- There are fewer than 7 crafters on your plot
- You have not built a market stall yet
To prevent the deletion of your plot, the easiest way is simply to log in. This way, you can ensure that what you’ve built does not fall victim to the cleanup operation.
Is that fair? It is understandable that the development team wants to leave space for players who are active. Therefore, regular cleanup operations are justifiable. Additionally, there are many criteria that must be met for a plot to be deleted, making it harder for a player’s plot to be removed.
However, such cleanup operations have a bitter aftertaste, considering that Early Access costs money. When Pax Dei is not on sale, the standard version costs 40 euros.
Moreover, a “fixed number of plots” is promised on Steam. If these are deleted, the developers do not adhere to the description available for Early Access. Nevertheless, Pax Dei is one of 6 MMORPGs that MeinMMO editor Karsten Scholz is particularly looking forward to: Which MMOs will rock in 2025? Here are 6 games I am particularly looking forward to
