In the new Path of Exile DLC “War for the Atlas,” new unique items and ten new gems await you.
Developer Grinding Gear Games has introduced the new expansion for the ARPG Path of Exile. The “War for the Atlas” expansion is available for free, just like the base game and the other six DLCs.
The DLC is already available on PC. The release of the Xbox One version will follow later in December.
War for the Atlas DLC Contents – What does the expansion bring?
The new Path of Exile expansion revolves around a conflict: an ancient being known as “the Elder” undermines the creator’s dominion over the Atlas of Worlds. You find yourselves caught in this strife, which devastates the maps. In the process, you explore the powers of the Elder.
32 new Maps
The War for the Atlas DLC brings you new maps where you can slash through nasty monster groups. Clear your way to the heart of the Atlas and face new challenges along the way.
Deformed and Elder Items
When you play on maps controlled by the creator or Elder, you can find deformed or Elder items there. These can possess powerful properties that do not occur otherwise.
New Unique Items
A large part of the more than 50 new unique items for Path of Exile, which have now been unlocked through the new DLC, originated from the community.
10 More Gems with War for the Atlas
The DLC introduces ten additional gems to the game. They are divided into
- Four Skill Gems
- Six Support Gems
Among the four skill gems, the focus is on necromancy. The support gems aim to bring more variety to the game and create new possibilities for many skills.
