The developer studio Grinding Gear Games has announced a new patch for the Delirium league of the hack and slash Path of Exile (PC, PS4, Xbox One). However, players are missing an important change.
What does the new patch bring? In addition to bug fixes, patch 3.10.1 introduces improved visibility in the fog of Delirium maps in Path of Exile (PoE). There are also new effects that should help identify which death modifiers some monsters possess. Generally, many effects are much more visible with the patch. Additionally, rewards are distributed better. Atlas missions can be selected directly through the map device, and auras have a greater effect and no longer affect enemy debuff auras.
Something is missing
How are players reacting to the announcement of the new update? There is generally joy that a patch is coming that brings some interesting and important changes. However, there is also criticism. Because an important point is missing.
What are players missing? In the Delirium areas introduced with the new league, you have very little time to fight the monsters and collect the rewards. Often, there simply isn’t enough time to pick up all the items. That’s why players often have to visit these areas multiple times. And this so-called backtracking really annoys some.
There have already been several requests to the developers to see if the timer could be adjusted to give players enough time to collect their rewards. But so far, this has not happened. And the now announced patch does not change anything about the timer.
Players demand a change
What do players think about this? There are already complaints in the official forum that nothing has been changed about the timer again.
- Pizzarugi comments in the PoE forum: “Still no improvements to Delirium timers in any way. I don’t like going back just to collect my valuables since I don’t use a meta-screen-killer build.”
- j33bus agrees in the forum: “When are you finally going to take care of the backtracking? The backtracking is killing this league.”
The Delirium league of Path of Exile is already considered unfairly difficult by some. If they now also have to run the maps multiple times to collect their rewards, it is understandable that some players are annoyed.
When will the patch be released? The developers plan to release patch 3.10.1 at the end of the week.
- Despite criticism, the new league Delirium is well received by PoE fans according to Steam.
- This year, more add-ons for Path of Exile are expected to be released. Let’s see how these are received by players.
