Right from the start of Path of Exile 2 in Early Access, there are free items that you can claim on Twitch. However, for the coolest item on Twitch, you will have to pay.
What’s the deal with the items? On Friday, December 6, 2024, at 8:00 PM, the Early Access for Path of Exile 2 begins. While up to a million players will be unleashed into the world of PoE2, everyone who wants to wait for the launch or is looking for something to watch on their second monitor can also check out the new game on Twitch.
To make it really worthwhile, the developers have prepared Twitch Drops that you can earn for free by watching. However, for the coolest drop, you will need to spend money.

Two Weeks Filled with Drops
What Twitch drops are there? On Twitch, you can earn free cosmetic items by watching any stream of Path of Exile 2. In order to receive the drops, the stream you are watching must have the item receiving feature enabled.
For the first week of the game, from December 6 at 8:00 PM until December 14 at 9:00 AM, you will receive the “Energy Screw” effect, which makes lightning appear around your body when you take a sip from your flask.
Additionally, during the same period, you will unlock the item “Fair Helm Attachment,” which creates a golden sparkling halo above your head. You will receive both items after watching for 3 hours.
What about the cool reward? In the second week of Path of Exile 2, there is only one cosmetic item to grab. A portal animation called “Portal Effect of the Temporal Lord.” You will receive this if you watch on Twitch between December 14 at 9:00 AM and December 22 at 9:00 AM.
The coolest reward from Path of Exile 2 on Twitch, however, is not free. The Chimera pet will follow you on your adventures, but only if you subscribe to two Twitch channels. While all other rewards are available just by watching, this pet will only be available for money.
You can either subscribe to a channel for two months or gift two subs. You have time between December 6 and December 22 to do this. Prime subs do not count.
How do I receive the drops? To receive your drops, you need to link your Twitch account with your Path of Exile account. Simply go to pathofexile.com and connect your Twitch account.
If you watch long enough on Twitch, you can easily claim the items in your inventory on twitch.tv. You must also collect the Chimera pet there before you receive it in the game.
The Twitch drops will be exclusive throughout the entire Early Access phase. So if you miss them, you can only obtain them for real money afterwards.
