The first player of Path of Exile 2 has reached the maximum level of 100. But he is not a streamer, and his class choice is also surprising.
What has been achieved? About three and a half weeks after the official launch of Path of Exile 2, the first gamer reached the maximum level 100. However, instead of a streamer or other content creators, it is an unknown monk named “heygyus”.

Who is it about? The player “heygyus” has succeeded in being the first to reach the maximum level 100 in Path of Exile 2. The developers of Grinding Gear Games had previously announced that the path to level 100 in PoE2 would be more difficult and harder than in the predecessor.
How much time “heygyus” took for his achievement is just as unknown as the identity of the gamer. His profile on the developers’ website (via Pathofexile.com) is private. However, his badges indicate that he has been playing since at least 2018, as he has the badge of the “Delve Supporter Pack”, which was available at that time.
It is also known that “heygyus” speaks Russian. This is evident from his forum posts in the official forum from 2020.
Which class does he play? Unlike many other top players who choose the “Stormweaver”, “heygyus” opts for a less popular melee class. He chooses the monk-invoker and is thus the only player among the top 10 with this class. Seven of the ten best professionals opt for the “Stormweaver” (via Pathofexile.com).
A forum post gives some insight into the pro’s build. On December 19, 2024, he complained that Path of Exile 2 would crash when using the Storm Bell ability while simultaneously wearing the “Temporalis Silk Robe”.
Many invoker builds use the storm bell skill. This skill allows the melee fighter to place a large bell on which to strike and cast elements that are then passed around.
Even though there seems to be no video or screenshot of the moment when “heygyus” reached the maximum level, this achievement is nonetheless something special. Especially because no well-known content creator won the race, but a player who probably prefers to remain anonymous.
