The latest update of World of Warcraft is now active. We reveal to you what is included in the patch and what to expect.
After a long wait, it finally happened today (09/25/2019) and patch 8.2.5 of World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth has been deployed. Although this is just a minor “mid-patch,” there are numerous small and larger changes and news that one should be prepared for. We reveal to you which highlights are included in the update and what you can experience starting today.
New models for Worgen and Goblins: After several years of waiting, Goblins and Worgen finally get their new models. They now have better facial animations and generally smoother movements, as their character models have been brought up to a newer standard. Additionally, there are a few new faces and customization options for the two races.
The finale of the war campaign: The war campaign of Battle for Azeroth will come to an end with patch 8.2.5. Those who want to know how the current conflict between Horde and Alliance ends can experience the finale during this patch. Particularly cool: those who have not yet met the requirements for the other parts of the campaign (such as reputation) can now forgo them. The entire campaign can be completed in a single run. “Party Sync” feature: If you want to play with friends at lower levels, it has now been made particularly easy. Thanks to the new “Party Sync” feature, you can be “downgraded” to the level of your group members. You will be artificially set to a lower level and lose access to abilities and talents that you did not have at the lower level.
You can also play quests again through the feature to help friends with “low-level questing” and be rewarded yourself.
The bee mount is finally here: It was announced at last year’s BlizzCon and then delayed a bit. But starting today, Alliance players have the opportunity to farm a bee mount! The mount is exclusively available for Alliance players, and the quest line for it is a bit hidden. We have given you a first glimpse of it in this article.
New “Refer a Friend” feature: Blizzard has fundamentally redesigned its “Refer a Friend” system and added plenty of new rewards. For every month of game time that a referred friend buys, the referrer now receives rewards. This includes titles, enchantments, cool mounts, and cosmetic armor sets, as well as an exclusive backpack!
Timewalking – Firelands: When the “Timewalking: Cataclysm” event is active, players can experience the Firelands again. From now on, there is a timewalking version of this raid, in which Ragnaros, Fandral Staghelm, and also particularly popular bosses like Alysrazar are once again a real challenge.
Many small adjustments: But even beyond the big highlights, there are plenty of small changes and improvements to World of Warcraft:
- For example, there is now a protection system where purchases over 50,000 in the auction house must first be confirmed.
- In addition, new items can be found in the black market AH.
- Players with a Heart of Azeroth at maximum level now receive gold or war resources as a bonus instead of artifact power.
