The next update for World of Warcraft is already in preparation. It looks like we might be able to play it in just a few days.
The current version of World of Warcraft, the Patch 8.2 Rise of Azshara, has been playable for almost a month now. However, it doesn’t seem like it will be long before the next update hits the PTR and the story of Azeroth continues. Some dataminers from wowhead and mmo-champion report that an early version of Patch 8.2.5 has already appeared in Blizzard’s internal systems.
What’s in Patch 8.2.5? The exact contents of the upcoming patch are still unknown, but a few “minor details” have already been mentioned in the past. Players can look forward to the following things:
- Finally new models for Worgen and Goblins
- The legacy armor for Worgen and Goblins
Beyond that, the content of the upcoming patch remains a mystery.
The story is still unknown: 8.2.5 will definitely be another “smaller” patch that does not include new raids or areas. However, many contents of the patch are still uncertain. Especially the progression of the story is still unclear, as no one knows exactly what the focus of World of Warcraft will be next. Possible candidates are definitely the resolution of the story surrounding Sylvanas and her plans, but the Old God N’Zoth is also likely to come into focus after his release.
When will Patch 8.2.5 be playable? In the past, it usually took about a week after a encrypted version appeared before the PTR became accessible to players. Therefore, one can expect a playable version of the next update at the beginning of August. However, this is not guaranteed.
Are you already looking forward to the next patch? What do you think will be your highlight of the next WoW update?
