The latest major update for World of Warcraft is live. Patch 7.3 takes players to Argus – to a new planet!
The servers of World of Warcraft took a short break today (30.08.2017) in the early morning hours. However, since around 5 a.m., all realms are available again, and the latest update 7.3 Shadows of Argus is live.
What’s in the WoW Patch 7.3?
As the name “Shadows of Argus” already suggests, the majority of the patch is focused on content revolving around the home world of the Eredar. Argus has been shining in the sky for weeks, and now Prophet Velen commands an expedition to the surface of the planet. Once there, players attempt to locate the Army of the Light and encounter Turalyon and Alleria – two legendary heroes of the Alliance, who have not been heard from since Warcraft 2.
But even without all the “story blabla,” there is much to do on Argus. A new dungeon, the Seat of the Triumvirate, offers fresh loot, and a multitude of new world quests need to be completed to earn new rewards and increase reputation with 2 new factions.
Craftsmen are also getting some significant updates, as many crafted items can now be upgraded to an item level of 935 – however, that requires a bit of farming work.
But there’s more: A new PvP season, numerous class changes, new animations for spellcasting classes, and many new mounts…
In short: There is plenty to do and at least for the next few weeks, there should be no lack of tasks in World of Warcraft.
The new raid, Antorus, the Burning Throne, will not be unlocked yet. It will probably follow in a few weeks or months, when players gradually get tired of the Tomb of Sargeras.
